Drink Recipes (Tea Lattes, Smoothies and Juicing)

Pumpkin Spice Lattes

Makes: 4 cups Pre-time: 5 minutes Cook time: 5-10 minutes

Nutrients: 

  • 4 cups almond milk
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree, unsweetened
  • 3 dates, pitted
  • 3-4 tsp chia tea leaves (or pumpkin chia tea leaves from “David’s Tea” company)
  1. Bring to a boil your almond milk, pumpkin and dates.
  2. Once boiling reduce to a simmer and add you tea leaves
  3. Let steep for 5-6 minutes.
  4. Strain leaves and dates. Serve hot!

Coco Chai Rooibos Latte

Makes: 2 cups Cook time: 7 minutes

Nutrients:

Instructions

  1. Bring almond milk to a boil.
  2. Add tea leaves and reduce to a simmer. Steep for 4-7 minutes.
  3. Strain tea leaves and keep liquid.
  4. Add agave nectar to strained tea liquid.
  5. Enjoy!

Yoga Hangover Smoothie

Makes: 2 extra large servings Prep-Time: 10 minutes

Nutrients:

  • 4 apples, freshly juiced
  • 4 bananas
  • 4 cups of fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1 1/2 heads of lettuce
  • 1/2 celery stick
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 12 Ice cubes
  1. Using your at home juicer, juice your 4 apples then pour juice into your blender.
  2. Combine remaining ingredients in you blender. Blend until smooth.

Green Beauty Detox Smoothie

Makes: 2 large servings Prep Time: 4 minutes

Nutrients:

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 2 gala apples
  • 3 nectarines
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 3 handfuls of spinach
  • 2 handfuls of romaine lettuce
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1/2 a lemon, juiced
  • 1 handful parsley
  • 10 -12 ice cubes
  1. Core apples, peal bananas, pit nectarines. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend till smooth.
  2. Consume immediately because oxidation starts to occur and you loose valuable nutrition.

“Chocolate” Breakfast Shake

Makes: 2 servings Prep Time: 2 minutes

Nutrients:

  • 6-7 small, ripe bananas
  • 4 pink lady or gala apples
  • 2 tbsp raw carob powder
  • 1 1/2 cups coconut water
  • 8 Ice cubes
  1. Core and slice apples. Peel bananas. Place all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth.

Rainy Day Smoothie

Makes: 10 L Prep-Time: 5 minutes

Nutrients:

  • 3 peaches
  • 3 nectarines
  • 2 cups strawberries
  • 2 bananas
  • Parsley
  • Ice cubes
  1. Pit your peaches and nectarines.
  2. Dump all ingredients into a blender. Blend till smooth.

Strawberry, Banana, Cantaloupe Smoothie

Makes: 2 large servings Prep Time: 5 minutes

Nutrients:

  • 3 cups whole strawberries
  • 1 small- medium sized cantaloupe
  • 2-3 ripe bananas
  • Ice
  1. Place all ingredients into a high speed blender. Blend until smooth.

Carrot Mango Smoothie

Makes: 3 servings Prep-Time: 10 minutes

Nutrients:

  • 10-12 carrots (or 3 cups of carrot juice)
  • 3-4 mangoes, skin removed
  • Ice
  1. Using a low speed juicer, juice all carrots.
  2. In a blender, combine carrot juice and mangoes. Blend until smooth.
  3. Add ice to blender and blend.

Tropical Green Monster

Makes: 10L approx. Prep Time: 5 mins Blend Time: 2mins

  • 1-2 bunches of spinach
  • 1-2 bunches beet greens
  • 2 mangoes, ripe
  • 3 bananas, ripe
  • Ice
  1. Blend, pour, drink!

Green Tea Monster

Makes: 12L Prep Time:5 minutes Blend Time: 1 minute

Nutrients:

  • 2 bunches spinach
  • 4 bananas
  • 4 tbsp raw nut butter
  • 1 tsp stevia
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbsp matcha green tea powder
  • Ice
  1. Blend, Serve.

Dragon Fruit Smoothie

Makes: 12 L Prep Time: 5-10 minutes Blend Time: 1-2 minutes

Nutrients:

  • 1 dragon fruit, cut in half then scoop out inside
  • 1 nectarine
  •  2 bananas
  • 1-2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 4-5 handfuls of greens (beet greens, spinach, Chinese greens)
  • Ice cubes
  1. Blend all ingredients, adjust to taste. Serve immediately.

Tropical Green Smoothie 

  • 1 bunch of spinach
  • 4 kiwis
  • 2 apples
  • 4 banana’s
  • 1/2 cup chopped pineapple
  • 1 shot wheat grass
  • Ice cubes
  • Cold water

Combine all ingredients into a VitaMix Blender. Blend until smooth. Recipe makes 12 L.

  • 1 – 1 1/2 cups coconut water
  • 4-5 ripe bananas
  • 2 tbsp raw cocoa powder
  • 1 shot wheat-grass
  • 10-12 ice cubes

Combine all ingredients into a VitaMix Blender. Blend until smooth. Recipe makes 12 L.

Green Monster Smoothie

  • 1 bunch of spinach
  • 2 tbsp nut butter
  • 1 – 1 1/2 cups coconut water
  • 4-5 ripe bananas
  • 1 tbsp raw hemp protein
  • 1 tbsp camu camu powder (or maca powder)
  • 1 shot wheat-grass
  • 10-12 ice cubes

Combine all ingredients into a VitaMix Blender. Blend until smooth. Recipe makes 12 L.

Apple Kale Juice

Makes: 1 L Prep-Time: depends on juicer (5-12 minutes)

Nutrients:

  • 10 apples
  • 1 cup kale
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 1/4 cucumber
  1. Cut everything into chunks to feed into your juicer.
  2. Juice.
  3. Serve with ice.

Orange Blossom Juice

Makes: 1 L Prep-Time: 5-10 minutes

Nutrients:

  • 6 oranges, peeled
  • 3 grapefruits, peeled
  1. Slice all fruits so they will fit in your juicer. Juice and serve.
  2. If you are taking your juice for later, make sure you fill your container (mason jar in my case) to the VERY TOP. This will prevent oxidation and keep your juice fresh.

Wheat Grass Shots

Makes: 2 onces Prep Time: 2 mins Juicing Time: 30 seconds

Nutrients:

  • Wheat grass (grow your own or purchase from health food store)
  • 1 orange slice
  1. Cut about a handful of wheat grass.
  2. Using a wheat grass juicer, juice as directed. If you do not own a wheat grass juicer, place grass into a high speed blender (such as a VitaMix), add 2 tbsp water and blend on high for 30 seconds or until mixture is liquid.
  3. Pour liquid mixture (if using blender method) into a nutmilk bag and strain juice into a shot glass.
  4. Serve juice with an orange slice on the side.

Nutrients:

  • 1 cup green grapes
  • 1 gala apple
  • 6-8 strawberries

Makes: 1 serving Prep Time: 2 minutes Juice Time: 30 seconds

Nutrients:

  • 2 apples
  • 1/2 a lemon
  • 1 tbsp sprouts
  • Ice
  1. Cut apples and lemon. Pour into juicer. Transfer to glass with ice.
